We are just days away from the 2026 Fall Staunton River Star Party. We are expecting 170 attendees and there family guests. It will be good to see so many friends and meet our new ones. Every time CHAOS hosts this event with Staunton River State Park, it seems like a giant family gathering.
To walk into the Deep Space Diner and seeing the tables filled with folks talking and laughing is simply awesome. If you haven’t experienced this site, you really need to make a journey to one of the future star parties.
That being said, to walk out onto the observing field and hearing people talking and laughing, ribbing each other is another experience you need to see and hear. Many strong friendships have formed over the years.
The star party has some great speakers and in the event of the unthinkable, we have movies at night. We have seen some great classics.
Okay, it’s time to start packing and making my way to Staunton River for our 29th(?) star party. I’ll have to check the math on that one.
